A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in global politics degree at Augustana University is designed for students who are interested in international professions, such working for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and as diplomats. Students who major in global politics will:
- understand the fundamental concepts in the study of politics and political institutions;
- understand the domestic politics and political institutions of other countries in a comparative
context; - evaluate how nations, states, non-state actors and organizations interact at the international level;
- produce clear and persuasive written work about politics and political institutions; and,
- engage with the broader community through experiential and/or service learning.
