Entrepreneurship Minor

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship at AU

The entrepreneurship minor at Augustana University, housed within the Rydell School of Business, offers a set of classes focused on encouraging students to learn more about starting and owning their own business. Whether it's learning to start a business or breathing new energy or life into an existing one, students will learn the nuts and bolts of what it takes to manage a company. This minor pairs well with any major and provides hands-on experience — providing students with the opportunity to write business plans and create campaigns for clients.

The minor consists of 27 credits with accounting, business, finance and management courses.

Ent. Minor 2025

This generation is more interested in controlling their time and their futures, but it's hard to be your own boss. It's hard to run your own things. There are some really great upsides, but it's hard work. Some students want to first get a few years of experience and come back to this; others are starting companies and they're off and running.

— Dr. Matthew Willard, assistant professor of business
