Biography 

Matthew Willard is an assistant professor of business administration at Augustana and teaches courses in human resources, marketing, finance, leadership, strategy, entrepreneurship and management. Willard did his graduate work at Stanford University, highlighted by a Master of Science in management science and engineering and Ph.D. in political science with an emphasis on international relations and organizational behavior. Prior to joining the Augustana faculty, Willard taught at Doane University, the University of Sioux Falls (USF) and Colorado Technical University.

Willard has more than 30 years of experience in the business world — most recently as a founding partner of GW-Legacy Advisors, a business growth and valuation consultancy, as well as a consultant for an ag marketing firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to that, Willard owned his own business and project development consulting firm, serving start-up clients to major corporations, including marketing, product development, turnaround management, business plan development, project fundraising and corporate management.
