Apply With Your ACT/SAT Score

Recommended Admission Guidelines:

• GPA of 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale)
• ACT Composite of 20 or SAT of 1030

To apply:

• Complete an application or Common App. It's always free to apply!
• List Augustana University on your list of colleges/universities on the ACT/SAT or include Augustana's number — AU's ACT Number: 3902 or AU's SAT number: 6015
  • Supporting documentation (scanned document or screenshot) containing your test score (with sub scores) must include your first and last name included in the document/image to accept your test score.
• Email your high school transcript to admission@augie.edu.

Apply With Test-Optional

Recommended Admission Guideline:

• GPA of 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale)

• Complete an application. Be sure to complete the test-optional section of the application. It's always free to apply!

Homeschooled Students 

• Homeschooled Students may apply to Augustana by submitting the application or submit Common App. Students who are homeschooled must provide an official transcript, which includes course listings. 

Transfer students are always welcome to apply to Augustana. Students who are wishing to transfer mid-year should be admitted by Dec. 1 to start during January Interim (J-Term) semester, and by Jan. 15, to start in the spring semester. Applications for the fall semester are accepted year round. AU sends its first offers of admission and academic scholarships in October, and continues on a rolling basis thereafter.

  • Test Optional is available for transfer students
• Minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) at the institution from which they are transferring

• Send your official college transcript(s) from all prior colleges/universities attended to admission@augie.edu.
• A Dean’s Referral form may be sent to a student’s prior institution to verify academic and disciplinary standing at that institution. Any indication of prior academic and/or disciplinary issues at previous institutions will be considered in the admission decision.

Students who previously attended Augustana are not required to fill out a full application in order to return. Instead, former Augustana students should complete the Application for Returning Students. 

Note: Former undergraduate students applying for a graduate program should complete the program-specific application.

Requirements

• Email college transcript(s) from all prior colleges/universities attended to admission@augie.edu.

Augustana gives admission consideration to students who don't quite meet all of the requirements above or have successfully completed the General Education Development Exam (GED). Additional emphasis will be placed on essay responses, recommendations and work experiences.

Requirements

• Minimum passing score of 145 on each of the four GED modules
• Email results of PSAT, ACT or SAT exams to admission@augie.edu.

In addition to a student’s academic record, admission will also be dependent upon a student’s ability to positively impact the Augustana community. Because of this, prior behavioral and/or criminal issues may be considered in the admission process.
