A total of 173 Augustana University students chose to make the world their classroom for January Interim (J-Term) 2026 — a 4-week session between semesters designed to be a time of curricular exploration and enrichment for students. The majority — 162 students — are taking part in Augustana faculty-led courses. The remaining 11 students are traveling as part of outside programs.
Augustana University Set to Launch Second DPT Program in January 2027, Expanding Footprint to Colorado
As part of its strategic plan, Augustana is expanding its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program to Colorado — home to one of the university’s largest alumni bases. Housed in the university’s School of Health Professions, the launch of the Augustana Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Colorado (DPT-CO) will take place in January 2027.

Augustana Band Will Celebrate 130th Anniversary With Alumni, Scholarship Campaign
The Augustana Band has endured as one of the university’s most visible and beloved ensembles for more than a century. This year, for its 130th anniversary, the university will celebrate this longstanding tradition in a big way — is inviting its alumni to participate in several events in the spring, as well as a fundraising initiative to raise money for band-related impact scholarships.

‘Augustana High School Invitational’ to Open at University’s Eide/Dalrymple Gallery
The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University will open its annual “Augustana High School Invitational,” on Thursday, Jan. 15, which will continue through Friday, Feb. 6. A gallery reception will be held on Feb. 6, from 6-8 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. The exhibition and its closing events are free and open to the public.

Augustana Rydell School of Business Introduces Trust Minor in Fall 2025
This fall, the Augustana University Rydell School of Business introduced a trust minor to its offered studies — developed as part of Augustana’s strategic plan Viking Bold: The Journey to 2030. The minor — available at only a handful of colleges nationwide — aims to offer Augustana students another avenue to study as a potential career.
