Biography
Dr. Kimberly Beran-Shepler is a 2006 graduate of Creighton University Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and 2007 graduate of Creighton's Orthopedic Residency. Beran-Shepler spent seven years practicing outpatient orthopedics and managing a private practice before making the switch to academia. She was the founding director of clinical education for Trine University's DPT program, where she learned that she had two academic passions: clinical education and interprofessional education. In 2017, she accepted at faculty position at Creighton, where she launched the university's interprofessional education curriculum for nine different health professional programs. In 2025, she joined the Augustana DPT-CO Program as the director of clinical education.
Beran-Shepler has demonstrated her commitment to the PT profession by serving on the Accreditation Service Committee for Residency and Fellowship Programs since 2012. She is has held leadership positions in the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT), Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC), Physical Therapy Academy of Education and Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP) Special Interest Group (SIG).
