The Augustana University School of Music is excited to announce its 2024 J. Earl Lee Piano Festival on Friday, Feb. 23, at Hamre Recital Hall in the Fryxell Humanities Center. As part of the festival, prospective and current Augustana students will have the opportunity to sit in on a masterclass and receive coaching from Grammy-nominated Joyce Yang.

Augustana’s Boe Forum to Focus on the Rule of Law and Future of Democracy
Augustana University and the Center for Western Studies (CWS) announced today that the 27th Boe Forum on Public Affairs will feature an evening with New York Times opinion columnist, PBS NewsHour commentator and bestselling author David Brooks. The talk, entitled “America at the Crossroads: The Rule of Law and the Future of Democracy,” will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 19, in the Elmen Center. Tickets for the 27th Boe Forum are free and will be available to the public in the coming weeks.

2024 High School Invitational on View at Augustana University’s Eide/Dalrymple Gallery
The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University opened its annual “Augustana High School Invitational,” which will be on view through Feb. 2. A gallery reception will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, from 6-8 p.m., with the awards ceremony taking place at 7:30 p.m. The exhibition and its closing events are free and open to the public.

Ben Prisbe has been selected to lead the university’s inaugural club hockey program, which will consist of a men’s and women’s team. Jet-Setting and Carbon-Offsetting: Augustana Sending 155 Students Around the World for Second Carbon-Neutral January Interim
A total of 155 Augustana University students are studying away for January Interim (J-Term) 2024 — a 4-week session between semesters designed to be a time of curricular exploration and enrichment for students. This January, Augustana students, along with 17 faculty members, are traveling to 17 countries.
