Biography
Dr. Alicen Marie recently earned a doctorate in French at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City, New York. Her research interests include late 20th-century and contemporary fiction in French, genre studies, translation studies, aesthetics, political theory and psychoanalytic theory. Before joining the faculty at Augustana, she taught French, literature and film courses at Baruch College (CUNY) and The City College (CUNY) for several years. She also works as a freelance translator, editor and writer.
