Biography
Brian Gerry joined Augustana in a dual role with Sioux Valley (now Sanford Health) Hospital in May 1993. He served as an instructor within the Health, PE and Recreation (HPER) department for Augustana, and as the outreach coordinator for hospital's sports medicine outreach program which he started the fall of 1993. In 1996, he began the athletic training major at Augustana and held his dual position with the hospital until May 2001. He then became a full-time employee of Augustana and served as the inaugural program director, assistant professor and clinical education coordinator for the accredited Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). He is also the head athletic trainer for Athletics and clinically is the athletic trainer for Viking Football.
