Dr. Carrie Olson-Manning teaches courses in biology, computer science and bioinformatics. Her National Science Foundation-funded research program focuses on understanding plant evolutionary genetics and ecological interactions of monarch butterflies and their milkweed host plants. She earned a bachelor's degree double majoring in ecology, evolution and behavior and genetics, cell biology and development at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Ph.D. in Biology from Duke University, as well as three years as an NRSA NIH-funded postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Chicago.
