Biography
Hosea Kost earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in sport management and media studies with a minor in anthropology from Augustana University in 2020. While a student at Augustana, he was a student assistant with the men's basketball team, a member of the Augustana Choir and active in the Augustana Student Association (ASA), PRSSA and other campus activities. Kost continued his education and earned a M.A. from the University of South Dakota in 2022, where he completed qualitative research on the barriers and strengths that minority collegiate coaches in the Great Plains are continuing to experience. Before joining Augustana as a visiting instructor, Kost worked at the university as an adjunct instructor and the director of alumni engagement & event services after spending time with Sanford Health Plan and Sanford Sports.
