Biography

Dr. Kali Nordin earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Northern Arizona University in 2017. She also holds a Master of Science in biology and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Nordin is a board-certified clinical specialist in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy, with a strong clinical background in acute and critical care.

Nordin has extensive experience treating medically complex cardiopulmonary populations, with a particular focus on individuals with chronic respiratory disease. Her clinical work has included patients with advanced heart and lung disease, those requiring mechanical ventilation, and individuals undergoing or recovering from lung transplantation. She has worked across the continuum of care, primarily in acute and critical care settings, where she contributed to the development and implementation of early mobility practices, including involvement in building an ECMO early mobility program at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.

In addition to her clinical work, Nordin has played a key role in developing innovative models of care delivery. Most recently, she served as a clinical director for a fully virtual pulmonary rehabilitation program, where she designed clinical protocols, led therapist education and onboarding, and collaborated with engineering and product teams to build technology-enabled care pathways for patients with chronic lung disease.

Her areas of teaching interest include cardiopulmonary physical therapy, clinical decision-making for medically complex patients, and the integration of telehealth and digital health strategies into rehabilitation practice. Nordin is passionate about preparing students to think critically, adapt to evolving care models, and deliver safe, effective care across diverse clinical environments.

Nordin lives in Northern Arizona with her family. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children and exploring the outdoors through recreational side-by-side riding in and around Northern Arizona.
