Biography 

Dr. Libby Litmer is a 2009 graduate of Hanover College with a B.A. in exercise science and a 2012 graduate of Rosalind Franklin University for Medicine and Science with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). After graduation, Litmer worked for an outpatient hospital-based clinic focused on orthopedic and sports physical therapy. She then completed an orthopedic residency and the full manual therapy series of classes through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She obtained a OCS in 2016, was certified in integrative dry needling in 2024, and obtained a CAPP-Pelvic certification in 2024. Litmer worked in a rural hospital-based outpatient clinic as lead physical therapist and provided inpatient physical therapy on weekends until 2022, when she started a private cash-based clinic focused on orthopedic, pelvic floor and perinatal physical therapy, which is where she currently practices. She is pursing an Ed.D. through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and in the dissertation phase of the degree — completing a study that looked at how rural postpartum women acquire pelvic health knowledge and their opinions and perceptions regarding pelvic health. She has been teaching since 2021.
