Biography 

Miller, of Sioux Falls, grew up playing hockey mentored by his two older brothers and father — a former hockey player and native of Owatonna, Minnesota. Miller represented Team South Dakota where he won a national championship at the 16U age division in Reston, Virginia. He also spent multiple seasons playing Midget AAA in Des Moines, Iowa, and Sioux Falls. Miller went on to play a stint in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the Minot Minotauros and Aberdeen Wings before foregoing his playing career to pursue a degree in engineering. Miller graduated from South Dakota State University (SDSU) in 2021, where he completed a civil engineering degree and now works as a structural engineer at RISE Structural Associates in Sioux Falls.
