The mission of the Office of Strategic Communications & Marketing (SC&M) is to create awareness while enhancing the image and reputation of Augustana University.

Telling the Augustana story is the goal of each image, advertisement and event. SC&M aims to project a consistent brand identity, establish and promote events that celebrate the joy of Augustana, report campus news, maintain strong relationships with the media and broader Sioux Falls community, recognize the achievements of students, professors and alumni, as well as target communication to each of our audiences using a variety of media.

Augustana will once again host the Lighting the Way (LTW) Autism Conference “Pathways to Wellness” on Friday, June 6, in the Fryxell Humanities Center on the university’s campus. Free and open to the public, the Lighting the Way Autism Walk will then take place on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. - noon, on the Morrison Commons Patio. Augustana University is proud to announce the graduating Class of 2025. The ceremonies, held at Kirkeby-Over Stadium on Saturday, May 24, will include an undergraduate ceremony for the Class of 2025 at 10:30 a.m., as well as a graduate hooding and commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. For the full schedule of events, visit augie.edu/commencement.

Tresse (Klumper) Evenson '04 has been named the 2025 Augie Pride Award winner. Evenson was recognized on Wednesday, April 30, at the university’s annual Service Awards & Retirement Recognition Ceremony in the Ordal Dining Hall of the Morrison Commons. Her parents, husband, four children and two nieces, who went to great lengths to keep the award a secret, were all in attendance.
