In September, Augustana University began offering a quantitative economics (QE) major, alongside its economics major. Quantitative economics is the economics degree with an emphasis on the quantitative (side) with three parts: analyzing situations using models, empirical analysis and computer simulations.

Students can earn credit for prior learning through Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exam scores. Post-Secondary Educational Option (PSEO) courses also transfer to Augustana.

Augustana is proud to announce that Dr. Roxanne Stevens has been named the university’s new dean of the School of Business. Stevens began serving in her role in mid-August. Stevens is working on both a short- and long-term plan for the School of Business that includes growth initiatives, community partnerships and student engagement opportunities — such as additional internships, student organizations and honor societies.
