Campus Crime Line and Crime Stoppers

The Campus Crime Line (605.274.5000) provides students, staff and faculty with an avenue to anonymously report criminal activity on or around the campus. Calls to the Campus Crime Line are answered by an answering machine located in the Department of Campus Safety. Callers can leave information anonymously or leave their name and contact information for officers to follow-up.

Maintaining safe community is the responsibility of everyone. If you have information about a crime that has occurred or a crime that may occur, all the Campus Crime Line and provide the information you have. Augustana University strives to maintain a safe campus, but it takes all of us working together. Please utilize the Campus Crime Line if you have information that will help solve a crime or prevent a crime from happening. If the information you have is related to a crime that occurred off campus or in another community, the Department of Campus Safety works closely with the Sioux Falls Police Department and the Crime Stoppers of the Sioux Empire.

Crime Stoppers of the Sioux Empire encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy. Calls to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and are eligible to a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.
