Augustana University is committed to an environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of each student through health and counseling services.
In addition to providing health and counseling services, students are given resources on wellness-related topics such as general health, mental health, alcohol, drugs, eating disorders and more.
Augustana’s Sanford Campus Clinic is located in the lower level of Solberg Hall and is open to students Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
During weekday hours (8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.), you may call the campus clinic nurse at 605.274.5552 and press 1.
If after-hours, call 605.328.5800 and follow the prompt to be directed to the Sanford Hospital After-Hours Call Center. The healthcare provider will speak to you regarding your symptoms and provide you with next steps.
Augustana Counseling Services works with a variety of resources to meet every student's emotional health and well-being. Augustana University works closely with Sioux Falls Psychological Services which provides students with a comprehensive and multidisciplinary group of more than a dozen mental health professional.

The Helpline Center is South Dakota’s leader in suicide prevention and response. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts please call 1-800-273-8255 anytime, day or night. All South Dakotans have access to the crisis line all day, every day. The service is free and confidential.
The Helpline Center offers a variety of suicide prevention trainings, crisis support and survivor services that include grief support for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide. We are the only accredited suicide crisis center in South Dakota. The Helpline Center provides suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention services.
