Augustana’s Sanford Campus Clinic is located in the lower level of Solberg Hall and is open to students Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Augustana University works closely with Sioux Falls Psychological Services which provides students with a comprehensive and multidisciplinary group of more than a dozen mental health professional.

The Helpline Center is South Dakota’s leader in suicide prevention and response. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts please call 1-800-273-8255 anytime, day or night. All South Dakotans have access to the crisis line all day, every day. The service is free and confidential.
The Helpline Center offers a variety of suicide prevention trainings, crisis support and survivor services that include grief support for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide. We are the only accredited suicide crisis center in South Dakota. The Helpline Center provides suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention services.
Students are required to fill out and submit a immunization record, verifying a record of required immunizations before enrolling in their first academic term. Click here for the immunization record form.
New students must provide health care provider-documented immunization status for measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) and a current vaccination for bacterial meningitis.
Augustana recommends that all full-time students have health insurance or other medical plan coverage that complies with the Affordable Care Act. Students may visit the Sanford Health Campus Clinic located in Solberg Hall and schedule an appointment with the college nurse at no cost. Students will need to supply their insurance card for all services provided by the Certified Nurse Practitioner, all laboratory testing, and immunizations. Augustana University requires all international students to maintain medical insurance that provides coverage in the United States and meets certain minimum benefit requirements. Augustana will automatically enroll all international students in Augustana's International Student Accident and Sickness Plan. The insurance premium will be added to the student's bill.
If a student wishes to have the plan waived, proof of coverage must be provided that specifies that the alternate policy provides benefits at least equal to those required by Augustana University.
Waiver Instructions: Ask your insurance company representative to complete the waiver form and return it to Augustana University. A waiver must be completed every academic year, even if the student was enrolled and waived in the prior academic year. (See below to download the insurance plan and waiver form.)
