Semester Shutdown is a beloved campus tradition at Augustana. The Fall Semester Shutdown is a collaborative event coordinated through the office of Student Engagement that includes a wide variety of student organizations and university offices. The Spring Semester Shutdown is coordinated by the new UBG programming board as their first-ever event. Both semesters include a Moonlight Breakfast followed by Bingo in the Dining Hall.

Midnight Madness is another campus tradition. Our Saviors Lutheran Church opens its doors and its hearts to provide study space and study snacks to our students. The event takes place 6 p.m. to midnight.
