Position Title: Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach
Position Type: Full-Time

The Head Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach oversees the administration and management of the Women’s Swimming and Diving Program. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to the Augustana Athletics philosophy; to provide a student-athlete centered experience committed to distinction in the classroom, excellence in the community, and faithful service to community.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the NCAA DII Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Program.
- Oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of a successful recruitment program of prospective student-athletes.
- In charge of facilitating an atmosphere conducive to the continued academic and athletic success of student-athletes, and for monitoring the academic programs of team members.
- Oversee and plan all team practices and games aimed at developing and preparing the team for successful competition.
- Manage all team related administrative tasks, organizing and administering tournaments or events, and making travel/lodging arrangements.
- Required to fulfill a variety of obligations to the conference and organization to which the sport is a member. This may include attending meetings and serving on committees.
- Advise the Director of Athletics and/or designee on budgetary needs and manage team budget
- Responsible for fundraising to support the program, the athletics department, and university (i.e. camps, clinics).
- Develop and maintain positive alumni and community relations.
- Build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with athletics, university staff, students, and all constituencies and stakeholders.
- Support, abide and enforce all academic guidelines and policies of the university, athletics department to insure academic progress of the student-athlete.
- Support and work cooperatively with the Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning, NCAA Compliance, Sports Communications etc. areas in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Abide and adhere to all written policies, procedures, and guidelines of Augustana University and the Department of Athletics.
- Represent the institution and the department in a positive and professional manner.
- Successfully pass the NCAA Coaches Curriculum Required Courses.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Preference will be given to those with experience specific to coaching men’s and women’s swimming and diving.

- Previous coaching experience in a collegiate level program preferred as an Assistant or Head Coach.

Position Title: Director of Video & Creative Content
Position Type: Full-Time

Augustana University is seeking a full-time Director of Video & Creative Content. The Director of Video & Creative Content will work closely with members of the athletic administration staff and coaches and the marketing and communications office in developing content that tells the story of Augustana programs, student-athletes and the University. This position is responsible for all aspects of video production including streaming using the new Midco Media Campus & Production Center and supports efforts of creative content ideation for Augustana’s 22 intercollegiate sports. This position will advance the mission, values and vision of the University by developing compelling content that engages fans and alumni as well as the campus and broader Sioux Falls community.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Create compelling video content for multiple platforms and owned communication channels, from short-form social media & video board content to long-form features for website and broadcast projects
- Leads planning and staffing of all live stream home events utilizing the new Midco Media Campus & Production Center (control room) including part-time staff, students and interns
- Responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining dynamic content that strategically enhances the Augustana University Athletics visual brand and takes advantage of storytelling opportunities
- Collaborates with communications, marketing and development staff on social media strategy and content development that enhances revenue streams, fan engagement and brand awareness
- Shoots video at practices, home games, select road games, community and special events to generate content and assists/coordinates interviews intended for video
- Develops partnerships across campus with the multimedia entrepreneurship and communications departments, student groups, and faculty to increase campus engagement as well as student internship and staffing opportunities
- Manages the tagging, distribution & archive of current and historical video assets
- Maintains all media related equipment, facilities and supplies

Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in video production, digital media, communications, public relations, or a related field

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Organize and record game statistics at athletic events and provide timely reporting of results to local, conference, regional, and national media outlets.
• Assist with facilitate day-to-day operations within the sports information office (produce weekly notes for certain sports, submit players of the week nominations, supervision of work-study students, exchange of rosters and statistics with opponents, and respond to e-mail and phone requests and special requests of coaches and other College staff.)
• Work with the Assistant Athletic Director to hire additional staff as necessary for home athletic events.
• Work with the Assistant Athletic Director with scheduling and coordinating student athlete and coaches’ interviews for assigned sports.
• Assist and help coordinate radio or television with outside broadcast agencies that help produce or air the home athletic events.
