Biography 
Dr. Michael Mullin joined the Augustana History Department in the fall of 1988. His teaching expertise is in American Indian history, with a special focus on American colonial history. He has published on topics ranging from Indian-colonial treaty negotiations to a history of the South Dakota Academy of Sciences. His current research focuses on Sioux Falls and its history. Mullin received Augustana's prestigious Vernon and Mildred Niebuhr Faculty Excellence Award twice, and has been recognized with the Frederick C. Kohlmeyer Distinguished Teaching Professor Award.
