Augustana University uses the International Baccalaureate (IB) Exams to award advanced academic credit in the instances outlined below. Successful score reports are entered on the permanent transcript record of students enrolled at Augustana.
- If a student completes the full IB diploma, they will receive 32 credit hours, including credit for introductory level courses in the disciplines in which they took the Higher Level Exams and earned a score of 4 or higher.
- If the student does not complete the diploma, but passes IB Higher Level Exams with a score of 4 or higher, then we will award credit hours for the equivalent on a course-by-course basis.
