With the addition of the $70 million Midco Arena, Augustana Athletics launched the first collegiate hockey program in South Dakota in 2023 and it was the first athletics program to compete at Division I that calls Sioux Falls home. Currently with 22 NCAA sports programs, Augustana Athletics is focused on building champions in the classroom, in competition and in the community, highlighted by three team national championships since 2016.
Augustana University invites applications for the position of full-time Director or Assistant Athletics Director of Ticketing and Annual Giving. The Director or Assistant AD for Ticketing and Annual Giving is responsible for all ticket sales, ticket operations, and the management of the Augustana A-Club. The individual will help to achieve the athletics goal to provide student-athletes the opportunity to compete at a higher level, elevate the profile of the university, and inspire Sioux Falls to enthusiastically embrace Augustana University as the hometown team as we serve the community and integrate our mission with its needs.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform all day-to day operations relating to event ticketing
- Implement game day ticketing operations and ticket sales strategies
- Build events in Vivenu (AU ticket vendor), season ticket fulfillment, suite sales, game day ticketing execution and management, student ticket coordination, schedule gameday ticketing staff
- Coordinate with athletics compliance office on pass lists and complimentary tickets
- Organize all A-Club memberships and season ticket renewals
- Oversee all day-to-day operations for the A-Club including weekly emails, stewardship events, football tailgating, retention and new member appeals
- Manage Viking Priority Points
- Oversee all sales of premium seating space including Kirkeby-Over Stadium, Sanford Pentagon, and Midco Arena
- Coordinate Sam Milanovich Golf Tournament in conjunction with the volunteer committee
- Assist with the Augustana Athletics Auction
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least two years of full-time experience in ticket sales, revenue generation, or ticket operations in a college athletics, professional sports or other related industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years or more of full-time experience in ticket sales, revenue generation, or ticket operations in a college athletics, professional sports or other related industry
- Demonstrated abilities to generate revenue through ticket sale initiatives including season tickets and group sales
- Experience utilizing Hometown Ticketing or similar ticketing platforms
- Work experience as a manager or supervisor of a ticket office
- Experience providing customer service and support
