Augustana University student Janai Crawford ‘23, of Tea, South Dakota, is pre-physical therapy, majoring in exercise science on her way to earning a Master of Science in athletic training (MSAT). Crawford wants to become a physical therapist and specialize in sports medicine. This summer, she fulfilled a goal that had been years in the making — securing an internship with LifeCare Prahran Sports Medicine in Melbourne, Australia.

Augustana University is excited to announce that School of Music Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands Dr. Larry Petersen is working with Director of Bands Dr. Christopher Unger and Percussion Instructor Daniel Sailer to bring back the Augustana Marching Band.

Augustana University shares the stories of two alumni who were called to serve in the United States Armed Forces. The AU community honors and gives thanks for their service and the service of all of our students, alumni and families who lead and sacrifice for our freedom. 

With their HealthHack entry called “Health Memo,” Augustana students Taha Afzal ‘22, Pawan Subedi ‘22 and Samuel Woldegiorgies ‘22 earned second place in the 2020 Sanford HealthHack competition, also receiving the Audience Choice award.
