Augie Access provides young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive transition and postsecondary program designed to increase career employment, social, academic and independent living outcomes — the only post-secondary comprehensive transition program in South Dakota. Augie Access Program student John James wanted the “full college experience,” and now, entering his second year of the program at Augustana University, his wish has come true. 

The Augustana Research Institute (ARI) is seeking applications from eligible organizations to partner with the Beacom Research Fellows Program in the fall of 2022, with the deadline to apply on Sept. 1. The program provides organizations with limited resources access to research, analytics and field-specific expertise in operations and data management. 

Augustana University student Emily Grein ‘24, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is a double major in accounting and finance. This summer, she traveled back to her roots in Minnesota for an internship at Northrop Gruman in Plymouth.

Each year, Alumni Achievement Awards are presented to Augustana University alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their fields of endeavor, communities and/or churches. The Horizon Award recognizes young alumni who have graduated within the last 15 years and quickly demonstrated outstanding vocational achievement and provided faithful service to their community and/or church. Recipients of both awards must exemplify one of the shared core values of the university: Christian faith, liberal arts, excellence, community or service.

Augustana University is excited to announce the launch of its Esports program — the home of organized competitive gaming on campus.  

It all started in a residence hall — as many college friendships do. But, for three Sioux Falls couples, the friendship has become lifelong, with Augustana University still at its center.

Augustana University is sending a record number of its students abroad for January Interim (J-Term) 2023 — a 4-week session between semesters designed to be a time of curricular exploration and enrichment for students. This January, 258 Augustana students and 27 faculty members are traveling to 20 countries.
