Augustana University will launch its newest academic program, Augustana University Fintech Program by Pathward™, in the fall of 2023. With the support of Augustana’s key strategic partner, Pathward™, N.A., (formerly MetaBank, N.A.), the major will be the first of its kind in the region. 

Augustana student Henry Sule ‘24, of Jos, Nigeria, is double majoring in finance and government & international affairs with minors in business administration and computer information systems. Sule is interning this summer at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), located at Cherapa Place in downtown Sioux Falls.



Graduates secure positions as CIS consultants, management services advisors, systems analysts and designers, programming managers and managers of information services and data processing departments.

Graduates typically enter the workforce with several offers from companies that include:

Several ongoing research projects include collaborations with NASA, Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT) and the University of NebraskaLincoln.
