Biography
Dr. Gina Palefsky joined the Augustana Archaeology Lab in 2023 after completing her Ph.D. at the University of California, Merced. Her research uses stable isotope analysis to understand what ancient people ate and how past foodways have varied over time and in response to social, cultural, environmental and climate change. Dr. Palefsky has conducted field- and museum-based research in Thailand, Laos and the United States.
