The findings of researchers affiliated with 20 universities, including Duke and Augustana Universities, are published in Nature Ecology & Evolution. Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Carrie Olson-Manning contributed to the research in the paper titled, “Ecological Factors Influence Balancing Selection on Leaf Chemical Profiles of a Wildflower.” 

Mark Runkel ‘99 is the senior executive vice president and chief credit officer of U.S. Bancorp, where he has served for nearly 20 years.

Augustana student Rebekah Fyfe ‘22 is a triple major in government & international affairs, data science and Spanish. The Pella, Iowa, native is working as an intern for a research program sponsored by Fulbright Canada and Mitacs-Globalink — a research organization that was founded in Canada in 1999.

Augustana President Stephanie Herseth Sandlin is joining a group of academic leaders, distinguished advisors and seasoned scholars, serving as a judge for the Call for Code University Challenge. Dr. David O’Hara, professor of environmental studies and director of sustainability, joins six other world-class environmentalists, organization executives and industry pioneers on the 2021 “Expert” judging panel.
