The Gold Standard: Augustana Inducts Four Members Into Honorary Alumni Society in 2024
The Augustana Honorary Alumni Society was established to recognize individuals who have shown extraordinary dedication to the university’s mission, along with its core values of Christian, liberal arts, excellence, community and service. Through sustained commitment to the university, honorary alumni have demonstrated the gold standard of engagement.
This year, Augustana inducted four members into the honorary alumni society. The inductees were recognized on Oct. 4, at the Honor Guard Luncheon during Viking Days.
Augustana Students, Faculty to Explore 14 Countries During J-Term 2025
A total of 235 Augustana University students are choosing to make the world their classroom for January Interim (J-Term) 2025. Along with the students, 25 faculty members and five guests are traveling to 14 countries and two states.

Augustana University’s Eide/Dalrymple Gallery to Feature 90+ Works of Art From 17 Regional High Schools
The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University opens its annual 2025 "Augustana High School Invitational" on Thursday, Jan. 16, which will be on view through Friday, Feb. 7. A gallery reception will be held on Feb. 7, from 6-8 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. The exhibition and its closing events are free and open to the public.
Gilman Scholarship Provides Study-Away Opportunities in Norway, Japan for 2025
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program provides annual support to students across the country — enabling “American students to gain proficiency in diverse languages and cultures, skills that are critically important to their academic and career development.” Maddox Sievert ‘26 and Hannah Woody ‘26 are AU’s 2024-25 recipients of the Gilman Scholarship.
