Augustana University's Viking Days celebrates what it means to be a Viking. Current and past Vikings come together for a week of festivities to celebrate all things blue and gold.

Homecoming is one of Augustana’s longest-standing traditions, dating back to the first celebration in the early 1920s. Named Viking Days in 1929, this tradition remains one of the most celebrated times of the year when alumni return to reminisce, reconnect and make new memories at their alma mater. We look forward to celebrating Viking Days and making memories with you — SKOL!

Viking Days Merch

Viking Days merchandise with the 2026 logo, including hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, pins and magnets, can be purchased at Ole's Outlet — Augustana's merchandise store — located in the lower level of the Morrison Commons.

Ole's Outlet store hours are Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This year's Viking Days logo was created by Ryleigh Tupper '26.

Meet the 2026 Alumni Achievement and Horizon Award Winners

Each year, Alumni Achievement Awards are presented to Augustana University alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their fields of endeavor, communities and/or churches. The Horizon Award recognizes young alumni who have graduated within the last 15 years and quickly demonstrated outstanding vocational achievement and provided faithful service to their community and/or church. Recipients of both awards must exemplify one of the shared core values of the university.

Rediscovered Time Capsule to be Featured at Viking Days Celebration

As Augustana University embarked on the renovation and expansion of its Chapel of Reconciliation, the owl statue Hindsight, Insight, Foresight was moved from its long-time home outside of Morrison Commons for refurbishment. The chapel and campus patio upgrades would lead to the discovery of a 40-year-old time capsule hidden within the statue. The capsule will be on display during Viking Days at Vikings Reunite on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Midco Arena.
