Augustana University alumnus Grayden Melick ‘18 formally received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty during the Augustana Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony on Dec. 16, in the Chapel of Reconciliation.

Augustana students Abemelech Mesfin Belachew ‘24, Manusmriti Budhathoki ‘24, Deepak Krishnaa Govindarajan ‘25 and Prana Mohanty ‘25 were named the grand prize winners of the 2022 Call for Code Global Challenge at an award ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in New York, New York.

Augustana is proud to announce that Team GardenMate, made up of four of the university’s students, has been named a top five finalist for IBM’s 2022 Call for Code Global Challenge.

Over the course of the last 18 months to two years, members of a Governance Task Force engaged their colleagues and other faculty to update and develop a new model at AU, fully operational beginning Fall 2022.

Augustana University student Tsegab Arega ‘23, of Sioux Falls, is a government & international affairs and sociology double major. As a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) John R. Lewis Undergraduate Public Health Scholar, Arega was an intern this past summer at the University of Michigan Future Public Health Leaders Program (Michigan FPHLP) in Ann Arbor.

Augustana University is excited to announce that its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program has achieved ”candidate for accreditation” status from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Funded in part by the Augustana University Mellon Fund, the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery on campus opens “Jovan Speller: In Lottie’s Living Room,” which will be on view from Thursday, Nov. 17, through Thursday, Dec. 15.

Augustana University and the Center for Western Studies (CWS) announced that Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, the former prime minister of Norway and director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), will be the featured speaker for the 26th Boe Forum on Public Affairs to be held at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in the Elmen Center.
